W O R K W I T H T H E P R O S // Wedding professionals are the people to make it happen! Here are a few tips when working with vendors:

T R U S T T H E I R E X P E R T I S E // Professionals who specialize in weddings know how to handle just about anything! Wedding professionals deal with weddings on a weekly basis. It's our business to know what works, what doesn't, what's popular, and what is proper. Trust us!

C O M P A R E // Choose vendors who you like. Don't assume they are out of your budget or are already booked. Wedding professionals are people too, and usually small businesses who want to make your day beautiful.

S C H E D U L E A P P O I N T M E N T S // After deciding which vendors may be a good fit for you, choose 1 or 2 to meet with in person. Having too many choices is not good. Be thoughtful and courteous of people's time. Narrowing your search before a meeting will help you make your final decision. Be timely in your responses with businesses and let them know if their services will not be needed. (Other couples may be missing out if the date was held for you.)

C O M E P R E P A R E D // Find out what to bring and know to meetings with vendors. Discuss your budget before you arrive and have an idea of the products and services you are willing to spend on. Bring people with you who are part of the decision making process. Have an idea of what style or theme you want for you wedding day. If you've created a pinterest board, don't be afraid to share it!

K N O W W H A T T O A S K // Communication is key! Ask as many questions as you can! Are you available on my date? Do you have any minimums? How many people can you accommodate? Do you have examples of your work I can view? What is the timing with the process? How much of a deposit do you need? When do we need to secure our date? Are there any additional charges we should be aware of? Does this include tax? What is the cost


P R O T I P // Tell your vendors who you are working with! Vendors like working with people they know and have worked with in the past. If you mention you're a MAVEN couple, some vendors may give you priority, or something a little extra! They know our standards are high, and theirs will be too! BE open about who else you're working with. They may be dying to work with your photographer, venue or planner, which could mean extra savings for you!
